Square of numbers near to 100 Let me explain this rule by taking examples 96^2 :- First calculate 100-96, it is 4 so 96^2 = (96-4)----4^2 = 9216 similarly 106^2 :- First calculate 106-100, it is 6 so 106^2 = (106+6)----6^2 = 11236: Example.
An other case arises
110^2 = (110+10)----100 = (120+1)----00 = 12100
similarly

@LAKSHMIDEVI In previous question 121 is not the square of 89 its the square of 11,
it will be solved as,
First calculate 100-89=11
so 89^2=(89-11)----11^2=(78)---121=(78+1)---21=7921

@MOUNIKA.B this 1 is comes from 100.you want to say that ans should be 120100. but if difference is greater then 9 then rule get changed(slightly).

if u want to square of any no:(number-number req.to cmplte to100)*100+(square of number req.to cmplte 100)ex:86^2=(86-14)*100+14^2=7396

110=100+10
10^2=100
take last two digit 00 nd 1 is carry
now 110+10+1=121
nd add 00
that give 12100
