Weight of stones in 5 KG of adulterated rice = (2.72/100)*5000 = 136 gm
Weight of rice = 5000 - 136 = 4864 gm
Weight of Half of the stones which are removed = 136/2 = 68 gm
Total weight of remaining adulterated rice = 4932 gm
Percentage of Stones = 68/(4932) = 1.3787%

In 5Kg stones are 2.72%= 0.136Kg.
If half removed left over is 0.068Kg.
Net Weight = 4.932Kg.
Now percentage is = (0.068/4.932)*100=1.3787%
Hence the right option is 8.

5kg of Adulterated rice has 2.72% stones, which is 136 gms. Also, 4864 gms of Rice.
Half of the stone is removed, ie 1.36% of stone (68gms). Left over Adulterated rice is 4932gms.
Percentage of stone left is= (68 * 100) / 4932 = 1.3787%.

Option 8 is the correct answer.
