Solution

16+24 = 4*(4) + 3*(8) = 4+8 = 12,
36+54 = 4*(9) + 3*18()= 9+18 = 27 and
20+60 = 4*(5) + 3*(20) = 5+20 = 25

Similarly 28+72 = 4*(7) + 3*(24) = 7+24 = 31
