Let,we denote the center of the circle as C.

And let AB be the chord which is equal to the radius of the circle.If using these mentioned notations a suitable figure is drawn for the given problem,then one can easily find that triangle ABC is an equilateral triangle.So,
angle ACB= 60 degree.

Therefore,The angle which this chord subtends in the major segment of the circle is equal to (360-60)=300 degree.

So, the answer will be 300 degree.

If two radii are drawn to the ends of the chord, they an equilateral triangle is formed. As we know, all angles of an equilateral triangle equals 60 degrees, the angle subtended at the centre is 60 degrees. So, the angle subtended by the chord on the circumference in the major segment of the circle would be 1/2 of the angle subtended at the centre which is 30 degrees.
