From que. we can see the speed of Tim is always double than speed of Elan. Therefore, Let the Speed of Elan= X, Then
speed of Tim= 2X, and
assume that both are covering different distance in time ="t"
Given: Total distance= 90 Km
Therefore, 2Xt+Xt= 90 km
( where xt=distance covered by Elan &
2Xt=distance covered by Tim)
Hence, Xt= 30 km,
But xt is distance covered by elan, Hence Distance covered by Tim is 2Xt= 60 km
ans: 60 km

10 5 in 1st hour=15km
20 10 in second hour=30km
40 20 in 3rd hour=60km
bt total distnce in 3rd hour= 90-(15+30)=45km
total time= 2+45/60 hour
total distance covered by tim= 10+20+3/4*40=60km

ratio of speeds =2:1
hence, tim distance=90*2/3
=60km

1st,2nd,2(3/4) hours Tim covers the distance of 10km,20km,30km,total=10+20+40=60
1st,2nd,2(3/4) hours Elan covers the distance of 5km,10km,15km,total=5+10+15=30
2(3/4) means 2hours 45 min, generally 3rd hr Tim covers 40km but 45 min is sufficient
so, they are taking 2 hours 45 min to meet each other,at that time Tim covers 60km. so ans is 60.
