Tim and Elan will cover the distance in ratio of 2: 1 in same time.
so out of 90 kms, Tim will travel 60 kms and Elan will travel 30 mtrs.

1st hour-- > Tim travels 10km Elan travels 5 km=15km
2nd hour-- > Tim travels 20km Elan travels 10 km=30km
distance left between the two=90-(15+30)=45km
3rd hour-- >speed will be 40kmph for tim and 20 kmph for elan...
so ratio of their distance travelld in the third hour is= 40:20=2:1
so distance travelled by tim before meeting elan =(2/3)*45=30km
total distance travelled by tim=10+20+30=60 km

starting speeds of tim and elan are in the ratio of 2:1,both of them doubles their speeds every hour so ratio remains same.
hance they will cover distance in the ratio of 2:1.
tim will cover 60km and elan will cover 30km.

1st hr = tim + Elan travels ->(10+5=15) ,therefore 90-15=75 miles remaining
2nd hr=tim + Elan travels ->(20+10=30),therefore 75-30=45 miles remaining
3rd hr=40 and 20 in b/w 15,30 they alrdy covered,
soooo tim as covered 10+20+30=60 km
