let initially X ticket has been sold.
so now in 2nd week 20% increases so
x*120/100
in 3rd week 16% increases so
x*(120/100)*(116/100)
in 4th week 20% decrease so
x*(120/100)*(116/100)*(80/100)=1392
x=1250 Ans.

(X-20*X)/100=1392====>X=1740.(IN LAST WEEK)
(X+16*X)/100=1740====>X=1500. (IN 3RD WEEK)
(X+20*X)/100=1500=====>X=1250 .(IN 2ND WEEK).

sO ANSWER IS 1250. TICKET SOLD IN BEGINNING.

let x be total number of tickets
for last week it is decreased be 20% hence
x-0.2x=1390
x=1737.5
for third week it is increased by 16% hence
x+0.16x=1737.5
x=1497.84
for second week it is increased by 20% hence
x+0.2x=1497.84
x=1248.2
hence the answer is 1248.2 which is close 1250.
so the correct answer is 1250

1.2x X 1.16 X 0.8 = 1392

find x. x= 1250
