Number of men not more than 3,so either 0 or 1 or 2 or 3 men can be selected....and to form 11 member panel 11,10,9,8 women selected respectively.

3m and 8 women =5C3*11C8
2m and 9 women =5C2*11C9
1m and 10 women =5C1*11C10
0m and 11 women =5C0*11C11

3 men can be selected out of 5 is 5C3=10
8 woment can be selected out of 11 is 11C8=165
so a panel of 3 men and 8 women, totally 11 members can be selected in 175 different ways

Therefore, 1650 + 550 + 55 + 1 = 2256

USE this formula for easy calculations => nCr=nCn-r
3m and 8 w =5C3*11C8=5C2*11C3=1650
2m and 9 w =5C2*11C9=5C2*11C2=550
1m and 10 w =5C1*11C10=5C1*11C1=55
0m and 11 w =5C0*11C11=5C0*11C0=1
Add all these =1650+550+55+1=2256 (ans is-> 2256)
