70% of x=0.7x ,remaining amount=0.3x
60% of 0.3x=0.18x ,remaining amount =0.3-0.18=0.12x
40% of 0.12x=0.048 x,remaining amount=0.072x
0.072x=576
x=8000

there is a shortcut
if 70% expenditure then write it as 100%(100-30)
if 70% income then write it as 100%(100+70)
so according to this
(100%30)*(100%40)*(100%60)*576=8000

let her income be x
1)then income left after household expenditure = 3x/10
2)income left after educational expenditure of children = (3x/10)*4/10 = 12x/100
3)money left after giving to her mother = (12x/100)*60/100 = 72x/1000
4)this is equal to 576 so ==>72x/100 = 576 ==> x=(576000/72) = 8000
5)hence her salary is $8000

Let her total salary be x,then
70% of x=0.7x (expenditure),remaining amount=0.3x
60% of 0.3x=0.18x (education),remaining amount =0.3-0.18=0.12x
40% of 0.12x=0.048x(old mother),remaining amount=0.072x
given that money left=$576
therefore 0.072x=576
x=(576000)/72
x=8000

let his salary be 100 so finally he left with 7.2
so for 576 we get (576*100)/7.2 we get 8000
