9)George can do some work in 8hrs. paul can do the same work in 10hours while hari can do the same work in 12hrs. all the 3 of them start working at 9am while George stops work at 11am and the remaining two complete the work. Approximately at what time will the work be finished?

The answer is option d).
Because the time taken to complete the remaining work by Paul and hari = 23/11 hours.

so, The approxiamate time =11 am + 2 hours=1pm

1/8 + 1/10 + 1/12 = 37/120
for 2 hours
37/120*2= 37/60
rem work = 23/60
g went
1/10 + 1/12 = 11/60 ( they do rem wrk)
23/60 * 60/11 = 2 hours + 2( already) total 4 hours so 1 pm ans

ratio of work 8:10:12=4:5:6
hence 4*5*6=120
Let the total work = 120 units.
As George completes this entire work in 8 hours, his capacity is 15 units /hour
Similarly, the capacity of paul is 12 units / hour
the capacity of Hari is 10 units / hour
All 3 started at 9 am and worked upto 11 am. So total work done upto 11 am = 2 x (15 + 12 + 10) = 74
Remaining work = 120 - 74 = 46
Now this work is to be done by paul and hari. 46 / (12 + 10) = 2 hours (approx)

So work gets completed at 1 pm

The L.C.M of 8,10,12=120
The total work =120 units
Capacity of George= 15 units/hr
Capacity of Paul= 12 units/hr
Capacity of Hari= 10 units/hr
George stop at 11a.m
till now all of them complete=2*(15+12+10)=74
remaining work=120-74=46
work will be finished at=46/(12+10)= 2 hrs(approx)
the work will bw completed at 1pm

2(1/8 + 1/10 + 1/12) + x(1/10 + 1/12)=1;1 bcz dey completely did an one complete work,and x for the time paul and hari worked togdr.

George work=100/8=12.5%
paul work =100/10=10%
hari work=8.33%
3 of them for 2 hours thus 2*(12.5+10+8.33)=61.6%
remaining work 39.4%/18.33%=2
from 11am add more 2 hours =1pm
