Answer is 2

suppose ten pattern of chairs is A ,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J.
and eight pattern of table is 1.2.3.4.5.6.7,8

then the pair look like this A1,A2,A3............A8=8
and B1,B2,B3.............B8=8
.
.
.
.
so on j1,j2,j3..............j8=8

finally 8 * 10=80


So Answer is 80

= number of ways of choosing 1 pattern of chairs X number of ways of choosing 1 pattern of table
= 10 X 8
= 80

Since there are 10 chairs and each chair have 8 options the number of ways in which they can be paired is 10 × 8 = 80.
