Answer : Wednesday.
There are more ways of doing this Problem, but I prefer to choose what method comes in my mind first. So I have this one for you. Hope it helps.
Explanation : The person starts working on Monday. That means the 9th day i.e. the rest day will be Tuesday. Now again he goes the next day i.e. Wednesday to work, likewise the 9th day will be Thursday. You can see the 9th day is always the alternate day from it's previous one. So count the alternate REST DAYS from the first one 1st-"Tuesday"...
2nd-Thursday,
3rd-Saturday,
4th-Monday,
5th-Wednesday,
6th-Friday,
7th-Sunday,
8th-Tuesday,
9th-Thursday,
10th-Saturday,
11th-Monday and,
so the 12th one is "WEDNESDAY"!

convert 12 in octal because it is working for 8 days thats all
i.e.
1*8^1 + 2*8^0 = 10
10th day is wednesday.

(M,TU,W,TH,F,SA,SU,M)total 8 days and 9th day is {TU}...is rest day ARE IN {}
i.e in 8 days are like monday to monday
1----- M 2 M {TU}
2------W 2 W {TH}
3------F 2 F {SA}
4------SU 2 SU {M}
5------TU 2 TU {W}
6-----TH 2 TH {F}
7----- SA 2 SA {SU}
8----- M 2 M {TU}
9------W 2 W {TH}
10------ F 2 F {SA}
11----- SU 2 SU {M}
12------ TU 2 TU {W}
i.e 12th rest day is wednesday.......:)

work starts on monday. from monday to sunday-7days. 8th day is monday.
so 9th day(rest day) is tuesday.
they asked what is the 12th rest day?
12*9=108 days... 1week=7days
105 is the nearest multiple of 7. so remainder is 0.
so 105 is Sunday.
106 is Monday
107 is Tuesday.
108 is Wednesday.
