no. of leap years from 2001 to 2071=17
no. of non-leap years from 2001 to 2071=53
total no. of odd days in leap years=17*2=34
total no. of odd days in non-leap years=53*1=53
total odd days=53+34=87
dividing 87 by 7 would leave 3 as remainder.
if remainder=0 then the day would have been sunday, monday for remainder 1 and so on. Since remainder is 3 so the day is WEDNESDAY.

as it seems it is not a leap year so their r 365 days, so 9071-2001=7070 yrs r left and 368650 days r their in 7070 yrs.
when 368650 is divided by 7 we get 0,that means sunday.
sunday is ans.

i think the 22 days of both the december should also be considere which gives us two more odd days making total odd days =3(ritwick)+2=5..

thursday should be the answer!!!
9071-8800=271
odd day for 271 will be 4
summing day of 11 month plus 9 will leave no odd day!!!

wednesday as total odd days = 87
and 87/7 = 3 so for 0 its sun...i its mon...nd 3 its wed
