probability for goal in 1 shot= 1/3
probability probability to miss a goal in a shot = 2/3
therefore probability of exactly 3 goals= 5C3*(1/3)^3*(2/3)^2
please correct me if i am wrong ...it will be helpful....thanku

=10*1/27*4/9

probability that a goal is scored in 1 shot= 1/3
probability that no goal is scored in a shot = 2/3
therefore probability of exactly 3 goals= (1/3)^3*(2/3)^2*5!

Since the question says every third penalty will be goal and not that 1 of the 3 penalties will be goal, therefore the probability of goal is not 1/3.
Now since every third penalty is goal therefore no. of 3rd penalties in 5 penalty shootout is 1 (i.e 3rd) therefore ans will be 0.

choose 3 goal out of 5 i.e 5C3
now for a goal=1/3
not goal=2/3
so....5C3*1/3*2/3
