ans :D.....0 is not a +ve integer.
so only 2 and 4 will be the possible values.
but x>y or y>x is not mentioned in ques.
x=2 or x=4 both is possible .
x cannot be answer by (ii) either.

In statement (I) there will be infinite values of x and y and in statement(II) there will be 2 value of x and y i.e (0+2) (0+2)

becouse from 2 nd equation we find that (2+4)(2+4)
Because its positive integer so neglect 0 & 2 combination...
So from both equations we find the solution x-4 , y-2

Answer is D because when x=2,y=4 both I and II holds good. Even when x=2 and y=4 I and also II hold good.

eqn 2 says (x+y)

(I) holds for several values of x & y (2&4, 4&6, 8&10....so on)
(II) holds for only x=2 & y=4 (36

Ans (D)..
Here is the solution......

According to first statement.....

x- y = 2 OR x- y = -2 ...

So if you assume any value of 'y' ( eg : y = 4,) then x = 6 OR x= 2 (NO CONCLUSION ON X )

Similarly from second statement... either x + y < 10 OR x+ y > -10 ( NO CONCLUSION)

Hence ans is D..

Answer is D because there is no unique value of x and y. It satisfies many cases, like (4, 2), (6, 4), etc
