let x=distance travelled by taxi
y=by train
15x+21y=8130
x+y=450
by solving this two eqn we get ans..

then 15x+21y=8130 and x+y=450
after solving them we get y=230 ans.

let ,raj travels by taxi x km
& travels by train y km
x+y=450-----(i)
15x+31y=8130-----------(ii)
solving these two equation
we get x=220km(travels by taxi)
y=230km(travels by train)

let Raj travels x km by taxi .
Total distance travelled by him = 450
Thus , remaining distance = (450- x ) is travelled by train..
By taxi , he pays Rs 15 per km . Thus , for x km, he pays = Rs. 15*x
For (450- x) km , he pays = 21*(450-x)
Total amt he paid = 8130
8130=15*x + 21(450-x)
by solving the above equation , x= 220
450- 220=230 km is travelled by train.

let x be the distance covered by taxi and 450-x covered by train
15x+21(450-x)=8130
x=220
so distance covered by train=450-220=230

B+T=450

by solving we get T=230
