3 mice are required
1st 10 bottles are tested by 1st mouse
2nd 10 bottles are tested by 2nd mouse
3rd 10 bottles are tested by 3rd mouse

by taking 1 hr as interval.

If mouse would die exactly after 14 hrs then definitely 1 will be the answer but here the given condition says that mouse will die within 14 hrs.
so this question will be solved by set theory.
answer is following
total beer bottles = 6
drinking strategy
bottle1 : mouse1
bottle2 : mouse2
bottle3 : mouse3
bottle4 : mouse1 and mouse2
bottle5 : mouse2 and mouse3
bottle6 : mouse3 and mouse1
on the basis of death of mice set we can decide the poisoned bottle

in this question upto 2 bottle answer will be 1 because 2^1 = 2
similarly upto 4 bottles answer will be 2 because 2^2 = 4
for upto 8,16,32,64,128 bottles answer will be 3,4,5,6,7

only one mouse is required because
there are 30 cans and let the mice tastes the cans at 5 min time interval and note the time at which the mice taste the particular can so the total time taken by the mice to taste all the cans is 1 hr 15 min so and note the time at which the mice dies and substratc 14 hrs from it and check which can the mouse had tasted at that time

where a is the no. of mice required and b is the no. of cans
2^a>30=5 so we require 5 mice.This is the case when the mouse dies within some hours and if we want to know when the case is "exactly "some hours then it will always be 1.
