Here,
20M=24W=40B
W=5/6M
2B=M
So....
((XM+6W+2B)*5*12)/4 = 20*12*8
((XM+5M+M)*5*12)/4 = 20*12*8
(X+6)M =(20*12*8*4)/(5*12)
X+6=8*4*4
X+6=128
X=128-6
X=122 M

20 men work =24 women work=40 boys work.
hence let X man are working with 6 women and 2 boys.
6 women and two boys=5 men +1men=6 men.
according to question work done by 20 men in 12 days working 8 hour =(6+x)men working 5 hour for 12 days.
20/(12*8)=(6+x)/60
x=2
total no of men to same work=8
they have to do four times of the job so they required men multiple of 4 of the number of men in 1 job
so total number of men are 8*4=24 men

20 men work =24 women work=40 boys work.
hence let X man are working with 6 women and 2 boys.
6 women and two boys=5 men +1men=6 men.
according to question work done by 20 men in 12 days working 8 hour =(6+x)men working 5 hour for 12 days.

Hence20*12*8men hour day=(6+X)*5*12 MAN HOUR DAY
=>x=26 MEN.

Given that 20M=24W=40B=W/(12*8)
Now ?M+6W+2B=4W/(12*5)
Upon solving ?=122

Let’s try solving this Problem using ratio approach.
Amount of work done by 20 men = 24 women = 40 boys or 1 man = 1.2 woman = 2 boys.

Let us therefore, find out the amount of men required, if only men were working on the job, to complete the new job under the new conditions and then make adjustments for the women and children working with the men.

The man hours required to complete the new job = 4 times the man hours required to complete the old job. (As the new job is 4 times as big as the old job)
Let ‘n’ be the number of men required.
20×12×8=n×5×12×4 ⇒ n=8

8 men working will be able to complete the given job.

However, the problem states that 6 women and 2 boys are working on the job.
6 women =
6
12
=5 men and 2 boys = 1 man. The equivalent of 5+1=6 men are already working.
