Can be answered with (1) statement only..
Series will be.. 3,8,13,18,23,28,x=33

Hey guys...take
There are two types of AP..increasing and decreasing...if you will consider increasing AP then series will be 3, 8, 13,18,23,28,33
So x will be 33..but if you consider decreasing AP then series will be 28,23,18,13,8,3. So x will be 3. So from 1st statement we cannt conclude..2nd statement is that x should be prime..so 33 will be eliminated..so x will be 3 only...so i think both statements are required

This Question is not asking you about the value of x.

Instead you have have to answer as
Mark a if the question can be answered by using one of the statements alone, but cannot be answered by using the other statement alone.

Mark b if the question can be answered by using either statement alone.

Mark c if the question can be answered by using both statements together, but cannot be answered by using either statement alone.

Mark d if the question cannot be answered enen by using both the statements together.

23 would be the answer na....what are the gap value..5,7,10,-7,-5,hence nxt i hve taken -5.thus 23..and only first optn is sufficient to give the ans. correct me if i am wrong

by considering the statement 1 v can get the value as 33, but in statement 2 that is not prime no.

in the actual question middle term was missing not the extreme!hence answer can be given with nly 1st statment alone

only with option 1 bcz set(8,18,13,28,23,x) are in ap and 33 is not a prime number..
