Given 3 : 5
Let suppose 300 and 500
25% gain on 300 = 375
10% loss on 500 = 450
total investment 300+500= 800
total income 375+450=825
difference is 25,
So (25/800)*100 = 3.125%gain

Answer :- 3.125% gain

explain :-

investment ration = 3:5 :: investment A(25% profit) : investment B (10% loss)

for better understanding we can say that

investment A = 3 / 8;
investment B = 5 / 8 ;

let us considered investment amount is 800 (800 cause 800 easily divide by 8)

800 * 3/8 = 300 Investment in A

800 * (8-3)/8 == 800 * 5/8 = 500 Investment In B

total investment Amount is 500 + 300 = 800

300 * 5/4 (25% profit) = 375 Return (Profit)

500 ka 10% Loss = 500-50 = 450 Returns (Loss)

total Returns = 375 + 450 = 825

Total Investment = 800
Total Returns = 825 (Obvious it shows gain)

gain % = 825 - 800 / 800 = 25/800 = 3.125% gain
