Let x be average price.
So total value 50x.
According to question
64(x-1)=50x+76
x=10

x/50=y,,
x+76/64=y-1
solving both equations we get y=10 and x=500 so
avrg price per book is 9

Let average price per book is x
i.e. (total books price) / 50 = x
now given that he can buy 14 more books by spending Rs. 76 more which will reduce the average price by 1, so
(total books price)/50+14 = (x-1)
i.e. (50x+76)/64 = (x-1)
on solving we'll get x=10 ( average price per book)
