Approach:In the first step,when the divisor x divides 64329.the remainder is 175 so the number that must have been subtracted from 643 is (643-175=468).Again in next step x divides 1752 and leaves remainder 114 so (1752-114=1638) must have been subtracted.In the last step (1149-213=936) has been subtracted from 1149 to get remainder as 213.Hence we can conclude that the divisor x is a factor of 468,1638 and 936.Taking the G.C.D. of these three numbers we get 234 as answer.You can verify the answer also by dividing 64329 by 234 and carefully examining the remainders.
