Answer is Option (D)--136.61 m

If the height of the pole is b and the distance between the person seeing the pole @ 45 degrees and the pole is a,
tan45 = b/a => 1= b/a
=> a=b
Then, Tan30 = b/(100+a)
=> 1/(3)^1/2 = a/(100+a) ; since a=b
a = 100/(3^1/2 - 1) = 100/0.732 = 136.61 m (Option D)
