If there are x passengers after increment of passengers, and Rs 1 was earlier ticket price and Rs 0.8 is new ticket price, then
650*1*1.2 = x*0.8
x= 650*12/8 = 325*3= 975

Let x is the number of increased passengers & per ticket price = 1 rupee
Now according to the question,
New per ticket price = .80 rupee
So hiked increment = 780 rupees (120% of 650)
Therefore,
(650 + x ) * .8 = 780
520 + .8x= 780
.8x = 260
X = 260/.8 = 375
Hence total passengers = 650 + 375 = 975
