First light up the two ends of the 1st candle. When it will burn out light up one end of the second candle. (30+60=90)

Both candle light up at the same time but in opposite face and should parallel to each other, when both candle light will be in same line (30 min) then turn off any one candle, so the lighting candle will burn next (30 min) after that light up half unburnt candle and it will also (30 min) long lasting. so total timing is 30+30+30=90 mint.

as both candles are of same length ...we can break the 2nd candle from the center with the help of 1st candle...now when the 1st candle ..finishes lit the broken part of the second candle....when it finishes we get our 90 minutes...
