Answer is 35 days.
EXPLANATION:
Here earning ratio is 1:1 so half(1/2) of work done by both(A and B).
now work done by A in one day = 1/30
work done by B in one day = 1/40
total time taken by A for 1/2 of work = (1/2)/(1/30) = 15 days
total time taken by B for 1/2 of work = (1/2)/(1/40) = 20 days
so total time required to complete the work = 15+20 = 35 days

as given earning 1:1,then then work done will be 1/2 and 1/2
then A ll finisd in 1/2*1/30=15days
similly B ll do in 20 days
hence 15+20=35days

..
both do equal work.. => A/30 = B/40 = 1/2 ; where A & B -> no. of days A & B work resp.
=> A=15 & B=20.
