from 9:15 to 5:15= 8 hrs
from monday to friday = 5 days
he walks for 5 days = 5 days*8 hrs =40 hrs
including 3 hrs(9:00-12:00)= 40+3=43 hrs

lunch time for 6 days taken= 6*.45= 4 hrs 30 min

43 hrs-4 hrs 30 min= 38 hrs 30 min

becoz in saturday(9.00 - 12.00) a man can not take lunch.

mon to fri=5(8-0.45)=7.15*5=36 hr 15 min
sat=3-0.45=2 hr 15 min
total=38hr 30 min

This ans is also depends on "at what time he is taking his lunch"..pls mention that also.
if he usually takes his lunch after 12PM then the ans will be "39hrs 15mins";
if not ans is "38 hrs 30mins".........

man walks in one day is from 9.15 to 5.15= 8 hours each day(for mon day to friday only).
so monday to friday(5 days) walk hour is=5*8=40hours.
for saturday walks from 9 to 12=3 hours.
total walk hours without lunch hour=40+3=43 hours.
each day lunch hour = 0.45 min.
so for 6 days(monday to saturday) lunch time=6 lunch min 0.45=4 hours 30 min.
so total walk hour with lunch time=43 hours-4 hours 30 min= 38 hours 30 min.

weekdays = 8*5=40
saturday= 3
totally 43 hours and total lunch hour is 3 hours
when subtracting the lunch time we get 38.30 hours

in 5 days =8*5=40,
and 1 day=3,so 40+3=43 hours and lunch time 4 hr 3o min then 43-4.5=38.5
so ans 38 hrs and 30 min

for mon to fri the total hours will be of 40 and for sat it will be added 3 extra
so 40+3=43 and on sub 0.45 hours i.e,. 3/4 hour so 3 3/4 hour .and we should not consider for saturday lunch...bcz he cant take it before noon ans should be 38 hour 15 mins will take... 38.15 hours

total hours for mon to fri day=40+sat(3)=43
total lunch hour=4.30
ans=43-4.30=48.30 hours

1*3hrs on saturday=3hrs
0.45*6days=2.7hrs
total time=40+3-2.7=40.3hrs...

from 9.15 to 5.15 means 8 hrs and everyday he spends 0.45 mins for lunch so everyday he walks for about 8-3/4=7.25 hrs
this continues for 5 days so he walks for 7.25*5=36.25 hrs and on saturday he walks for 3 hrs so the total time for which he walks is 36.25+3=39.25 i.e.,39 hrs 25 mins

so for 6 days(monday to saturday) lunch time=6*0.45=2.70=3 hours 10 min.
so total walk hour with lunch time=43 hours-3 hours 10 min = 39 hours 50 min.
