this is data sufficiency question so ..we can give the answer by using only second
statement..a+b+c=x;
a=b;
a+b=x/2;
b=a=x/4;
so c=x-x/2;
c=x/2;
a=x/4,b=x/4,c=x/2..

let a+b+c=x
b+c=x/2
a+b=x/2
a=b
so 2a=2b=x/2...a=b=x/4
b+c=x/2
c=x/2-x/4
c=x/4..so all are equal

@Avi Raina i think ur solution iz wrong because if u add the value of a,b nd c u will get 3x/4 bt u hv supposed as x.
so i think the ans iz that with the statement of any of the statement we can say that a,b nd c are not equal.

Let 'x' any original number,
given b+c=x/2;
a+b=x/2;
Therefore
b+c=a+b c=a
and a=b (given)
a=b=c
It's prove that a, b,c are equal.
Note: we cann't consider original number x=a+b+c because considering this Statement:1 is not satisfied.

yes, they are equal.
Let the no is X
1. b+c=X/2
2. a+b=X/2 and a=b
then from 2, we get 2b or 2a = X/2
therefore, a=b=X/4
from 1, we get c= X/2 - X/4= X/4

1 case b+c=3 or b=2or c=1
2 a+b=3 ;a=b=1.5,c=3
So not equal
