The question says the sum of two age of the elder son & one son is 15.

Here elder doesn't mean eldest.

Take option 2:
eldest son's age=11
then,
11-2=9(elder son)
9-3=6(youngest son)
now check ..
it satisfies the statement "the sum of two age of the elder son & one son is 15."(9+6=15)
So,correct ans should be 11.

if take 11 then check condition all three ::
11-3=8,8-2=6,8+6=14,11+6=17,ans is wrong.

take 10 then
case 1 :: 10-3=7,7-2=5,10+5=15.
case 2 :: 10-2=8,8-3=5,10+5=15.
10 is ans.

Take option 1
10 - 3 = 7
7 - 2 = 5
And we get
10 + 5 = 15
So answer is option 1

sum is 15 that is a+c=15------>1
and a-b=3,b-c=2.add them,then we get a-c=5------->2
by adding them we get a=10.

b+c=15;__________(1).
case a: a-b=3_____(2a) & b-c=2____(2b)| case b: a-b=2_____(3a) & b-c=3____(3b)
solving equ(1) and(2b) we get |solving equ(1) and(3b) we get
b=17/2 (not possible) | b=9;and c=6;a=11;
while considering the differences of ages a-c can also be thought of
but can be eleminated by using the option as they are 2 digit and the sum
of the ages of b and c is 15 so they should be single digit in order to keep
the difference 2 and 3

solving equ(1) and(3b) we get

ans is 10
assum that a=x,b=x-3 nd c=x-5(bcoz diff between eldest nd youngst child)
so, there r 2 possibilities.(1)x+(x-3)=15 (2) x+(x-5)=15
bt ans of (1) is 9 where ans of (2) is 10 ..
so 10>9
so eledest son's age is 10 years
