A and B is 40km apart T bcz a reached at T in 2 hours hence distance =20*2=40km
since the speed of b is 40 km/hr. hence it reaches to T at 11am and then turned right.
distance covered by A from T at 12pm to 2 pm (2 hours)=2*20=40km
distance covered by B from T at 11pm to 2 pm (3 hours)=3*40=120km
distance bt A and B= 40+120 =160km=ans

d=speed of a*time taken by a to reach t junction=20*(12:00-10:00)=20*2=40km
now, d=speed of b*time taken by b to reach t junction
40km=40kmph*t
t=1 hour
A reaches t junction at 12 p.m and B reaches T junction at 11:00 a.m
in 2hours, a travels dist=20*2=40km
in 3hrs, b travels dist=40*3=120km
as they are moving in opp direction, both the above distances are added
here distanec between them=120+40=160 km

A and B start by 10:00am.
A = 20km/hr. => at 12:00 he will reach 40km.
(which inturn implies that the T junction is 40 km from the starting pt.)
therefore B should have reached it before 2 hrs.
B turns right and totally travels 80km in 2 hrs.
At 2:00 (i.e after 2 hrs) A would have travelled 20+20 to the left of the T-junction. B would have travelled 40+40+40(including the 1st 2hrs along the T)
So the distance between A and B at 2:00 is (20+20)+(40+40+40) = 160km.

at the junction T B will reaches upto 11 am and A will reaches 12 pm. after 11 am b will travel 120 km from t in right direction upto 2 pm and A will cover the 40 km after 12 pm in left direction .hence the total distance will be 160 kms.

160km ---> 40*3=120 km and 20*2=40 km. so total dist = 120+40=160 km.
