A horse chases a pony 2 hours after the pony runs.
Horse takes 3 hours to reach the pony
distance cover by pony=distance cover by horse
speed*time(pony)=speed*time(horse
pony time=5hrs
horse time=3hrs
speed (pony)*5=81*3
ans 48.6

(81*3)/5=48.6

hence answer (d)

as pony is taking 2 hours more than the horse to cover the distance say x.....so the total time taken by horse to cover x distance is 3hrs where as by pony 5hrs(takin 2 hrs more)..since time=dist/time
for horse
3=x/81=>x=243
now for pony
speed=dist/time
speed=243/5=>48.6....that is option(d)
