If M1 persons can do W1 work in D1 days and M2 persons can do W2 works in D2 days then we can say
M1D1W2 = M2D2W1
so from this concept we can write the equation as follows :
(x-1)(x+1)/(x-1)(x+2) = 5/6
by solving this we get a equation as 6x-6=5x+10
so solving for x we get x = 16

according to the formula-
m1d1w1=m2d2w2
(x-1)(x+1)/(x+1)(x+2)=5/6
x^2-1/x^2+3x+2=5/6
on solving we get x=16
