let total distance is x kmph
speed is same fr 2 cases,those are after failing engine
so, we can take (x-30)/(45/60)=(x-45)/(36/60)
4(x-30)=5(x-45)
4x-120=5x-225
by solving, x=105km(total distance)

time taken by car in first case to cover 15 km is 9 min more than it took to cover same distance in second case
therefore,
case 1: distance=15 km
speed= (4/5)xkmph
time= t+(9/60)hr
case 2: distance= 15 km
speed = x kmph
time= t
now both the cases we can derive the following equation
(4x/5)(t+3/20)=xt
t= 3/5 hr
now we can calculate speed of the car
x= 15/(3/5)=25 kmph
