8 persons can be seated in 7! ways
But, when 2 persons are sitting together they will be considered as a single unit and number of ways of their arrangement will be 6!
and their independent arrangement will also be taken into account

Hence,

the no. of ways are 2*6!=1440
answer=1440

(n-1)! is the number of ways n people can be made to sit at a round table. Here 2 people need to sit together. So, we consider these two people to be a unit and the ways they can be arranged together with the group becomes 6!. Now, the two people considered as a unit can be arranged among themselves in 2! ways. Hence, 6!*2!=1440 is the required answer.

8 persons can be seated at a round table in (8-1)! ways..
2 particular persons sit together, consider them as one unit, so total members will become 7 persons...
7 persons sit around a table in (7-1)! ways = 6! = 720

Lets apply here a rope method.
formula for circular arrangement: if "n" to be sit in a circular fashion then total number of ways is (n-1)!
and here 2 people should always sit together so lets tie them with a rope and consider them as a one person for a while. so total person will be 7, n=7
so (n-1)! -> (7-1)!= 6!= 720 and the two people can arrange them self in 2! way so total number of ways will be 720 * 2!= 1440

6 people sits in 6 seats in 6! way and in every case the remaining 2 people can be in two ways , so the no of ways will be 6!*2= 1440

there are 8 persons
so ,in a circular combination (n-1)!
but two are always together so 7!
now 6!*internal combination ie 2!
6!*2!=1440
