so discount =1/7=14.28%

let 6 article be purchased for Rs 100.
.'. each article worth Rs.100/6.
so for 7 article it would be 100+100/6.
Discount% is equal to what % of (100+100/6) equal to 100,minus by 100%.
i.e.100=x of (100+100/6),
100=x% of 350/3.
x%=300/350.
x%=0.85714.
discount=(1-0.85714)*100.
=14.28% is the disount percentage on 116.6666.

let price of 1 cloth = 100
so,6 pieces = 600
a/c question,
buy product value 600 get 100 discount
1 ......100/600
so, 100.....(100/600)*100 = 16.25%ans

let x be the costs of each element.then the costs of 7 be given as 7x and so if he/she gets one for free then they would be given a discount of only x amount from 7x.it is given as 14.28%

let the C.P for an item be Rs.100
for buying 6 items Rs.600
then discount can be (600-100)/(total items)
so (600-100)/7= 100/7= 14.28
