24/3=8 and 24-8=16 now 16*200$=3200$ which is sell price now total cost=24*x and given that profit=2*total cost i.e profit=48*x now we know that profit+cost=sell price so 24X+48X=3200 now 72X=3200 from here X=44.44$

total--24kg out of which 1/3rd spoiled => 1/3(24kg)=8kg spoiled left is 16kg.
16kg is sold per $200 a kg total cost= $3200. given as the obtained will be twice the normal cost the original total cost will be $1600.
24kg= $1600 then 1kg = $1600/24= $66.66

1/3 stock spoiled so, total stock is 16 kg, total sp =3200$
total cp=> 3200-2*24x=24x
x= 44.44$
Ans $44.44

c.p of 24kg=24x,16 kg remaining(8kg spoiled),s.p of 16 kg=16*200=3200
profit=2*24x=48x
profit=s.p-c.p=3200-24x=48x
72x=3200, x=3200/72=44.444444

24*x=total cost(C) 1/3 spoiled=24/3=8 so 24-8=16 and 16*200=3200 so 3200=2(24*x) so x=66.66665

(1/3)24=8(spoiled beans);
so 16 coffee beans remains which cost 200/kg
sp of 16 kg=16*200=3200
profit=2*cp
profit=sp-cp
2*cp=sp-cp
3cp=sp; 3*24*x=3200=44.44/kg

spoiled portion = 24*1/3=8
remaining portion = 24-8=16
so s.p=16*200=3200
c.p + profit = s.p
24*x + 2*(24*x)=3200
72*x=3200
x=44.44

Bought 24Kg, 1/3 got spoiled, so 24*2/3=16Kg left ready for sale
The cost of this 2/3 is 16x

Selling price for the 2/3 portion is $200/Kg, total sales revenue = $200*16=$3200

Revenue of the 2/3 - Cost of the 2/3 = Profit of the 2/3 = 2 times the cost
of the 2/3

3200 - 16x = 2*16x
3200 = 48x
200 = 3x
x = 66 2/3

C.p. of coffee beans=24*x.
And now one third of beans have been spoiled =24*1/3=8.
Now left beans are 24-8=16.
So 16 beans are sold at $200 per kg
So total s.p. of left(16) beans is 200*16=3200.
Now,as given in question gain is twice the cost price.
S.p.=c.p. +gain
3200=24x+48x
Solving x=$44.44
Ans.
