(A+B+C)'s 1 day work = 1/20
(A+C)'s 1 day work = 1/30
B's 1 day work = (A+B+C)-(A+C) = 1/20-1/30 = 10/600 = 1/60
B alone ll finish the work in 60 days
From (1) and (2), we can find the no. of days taken to complete by B alone
In order to find A's 1 day work, (3) is also needed
Statement 3: Time taken by B:C => B:2B
C's 1 day work = 2*60= 120 days
(B+C)'s 1 day work = 1/60+1/120 => 180/7200 => 1/40
A's 1 day work = (A+B+C)'s 1 day work - (B+C)'s 1 day work => 1/20-1/40 =
=>20/800
A's 1 day work = 1/40
A ll complete the work in 40 days

Hence all the 3 statements are needed to find A's no. of days
