question is : The average temperature on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday was 250. The average temperature on Thursday, Friday and Saturday was 240. If the temperature on Saturday was 270, what was the temperature on Wednesday?


answere is : (we+th+fr)/3 = 250
(th+fr+sa)/3 = 240
sa = 270
we = ?

Multiply the average expressions by 3:
we+th+fr = 750
th+fr+sa = 720 ; subtract sa = 270
th+fr = 450 ; subtract this from we+th+fr = 750
we = 300

ANSWER:
d). 300
