They did work in 15+30=45 days. Its clear in question itself.
If "how many days B takes to complete whole work" was asked then ans is:-work done by A in 1 day=1/60
work done by A in 15 days=15/60=1/4
remaining work=1-(1/4)=3/4
B does 3/4 work in 30 days
B can do 1 work in = 30*(4/3)=40 days
