when B covers 48 m to finish, C covers (72-32)=40 m
So, ratio of speed of B to C is 48:40 i.e. 6:5
distance ratio also same, because time same.
Let's assume total distance is 6x
So, (Distance by B)-(Distance by C)=32
6x-5x=32
x=32
6x=192 meter
but other multiple of 32 also possible

Answer=32n meters where n>=3 (3,4,5......)

when A finishes B has to cover 48m and C has to cover 72m.
After A finishes race when B finishes race he covers 48m in same time C covers 72-32=40m.
So ratio of their speed is b/c=48/40=6/5.

Now l/b=(l-32)/c. (equting time when b , c finishes race)
and b/c=6/5
on solving we get l=192

Length of the race 192 m
When A run 192m
B run 144m
C run 120m
.............
Condition 1
A finishing 48 meters ahead of B
192-144=48 So Condition 1 is True
.............
Condition 2
72 meters ahead of C
192-120=72 Condition 2 is True
.............
When B Covered 192m C would Cover 160
B can give C a start of 32m

length of race is 80 m ...
equating the time we get
(l-48)/sb =l/sa ----1)
(l-72)/sc =l/sa ----2)
l/sb =(l-32)/sc ----3)
on solving these three we get value of l =80 m

let us consider x as length of the race
when A finishes the race,b is 48m ahead & C is 32m ahead
when B finishes the race,C is 72-32=40m ahead
so it is in the ratio=48:40=6:5
(x-48)/(x-72)=6/5
x=120(length of the race)ans

a/b=x/x-48
a/c=x/x-72
b/c=x/x-32=x-48/x-72
by solving we get x=192

length of race is 84 m
in second statement b finsihes 48 meter while c finshes only 16 m in same time
so if we let speed of c is 1m/minute then b's speed is 3m/minute
diff per minute betw b and c is 2 meter
so in first statement diff is 24 meter i.e. b travelld 12 minutes and a and c also travelled 12 minutes...
now diif betw a and b is 48 meter in 12 minutes in first minute
so diff betw them per minute is 4 meter
so speed of a=b+4=7 meter per minute
so length of race=a's speed * time taken by a=7*12=84m

Let total distance= X
(X-72)*X /(X-48) = (X-32)
after solving:
X=192 unit
