approach for question like this , depends on which hints you take,
like there's a hint in 3rd row, EW(HH) , 2 H's ,lets put value of H=1, first
(i know, in exam hint was given that "H is even" that made calculation more easier)
( other hints are guessing of 5 , 6 , 1 , 0 multiplication, a big no, no with carry , etc).
for H=1 , what are the multiplications that end in 1 (11,21,31,41,51,61,71), the
only valid one is 21(7x3), now put value 7 and 3 in place of W and F,

but value of 7 and 3 , gives wrong multiplication, ok ?

now check for the value 3 and 7 , the new multiplication is

for this we are also getting wrong multiplication term in 3rd row,(3,7 viceversa cancel out)

check for 2 , 3 , 5, 6 , 7 , 8, 9 value of H ,
(guys if you PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE , crypt you will come to know only some digits add up and multiply to give to double H in the end of row. do practice. period)
but do take care of all the(rule) first digit of the multiplication rows, first digit of row can't be 9, 8 ( less frequent i mean)
ok come to back to question , lets take the value of H =8 ( no ending in 8 , 8 18,28, 38 , 48 , 58 , 68) multiplications will be ( 4x2, (6x3, 9x2), 7x4, 6x8) vice versa respectively )
check the value of H as done above, for each of the following pairs , the only valid pair is 4x7
now put

from that we get the value of E must be 5
now put E=5 and check more
