1$=100 cents
12 flowers=80 cents
go by options ans is (5,1)
5 flowers-100 cents
12 flowers-240 cents
(5+10=15 flowers)=200
12 flowers=160
so,savings is 80rs

if we consider x=2
than y should be y=0.4667.
Because,
Actual price of dozen roses is 2.80 dollars.
so for x=1 rose she will have to pay y=0.233

Same way for x=2,y=0.4667

1$=100 cents
12 flowers=80cents
6 flowers =40 cents
3 flowers =20 cents
therefore (12+3=15) flowers =(80+20=100)cents
ie. 15 flowers =100 cents
1 flower =100/15=20/3............(a)
30 flowers=200 cents...................(1)
given x+10 flowers will be given for only 2$
ie. x+10 flowers=200 cents................(2)
comparing eq (1)and eq(2)
x+10=30
x=20 flowers

required cent=20*20/3=400/3
hence x=20 and y=400/3
