55% of(100+n)=55+(11*n)/20
60% of 100=60
55+(11*n)/20=n/2+60
n=100
Total people surveyed=100(from badaville) +100(from chottaville)

now, 50% of town1 =50% of 100= 50
and 60% of town2 = 50% of 100= 60
total= 50+60=110
over all percentage of people of brand a=110*100/200= 55%
hence total people= 100+100= 200

in chottaville 60% i.e. 60 people prefer brand A
thus in total there is (n+100) people out of wich 55% prefer brand A
thus soln is n/2 + 60 = (n+100)*0.55
solving the answer comes to n=100
therfr total people using brand A is 100 + 100 = 200
