The correct question is:
1, 11, 21, 1211, 111221, 312211, ______

each term is the description of the previous term.
see the second term it describes first term in numeric language:
one 1 = 11
now in 11 there are:
two 1= 21
now in 21 there are:
one 2 & one 1 = 1211
now in 1211 there are:
one 1 one 2 & two 1 = 111221
now in 111221 there are:
three 1 two 2 and one 1 = 312211

So the correct answer is 312211.
provided options are not correct.
and series goes like this:

1, 11, 21, 1211, 111221, 312211, 13112221..... and so on

option a becoz from digit one we have one ones and from 11 we have 2 ones is 21 like sooo on ,,,,,, from 111231 we have 31121311
