1 digit no.= 4(excluding 0)
2 digit no.= 4*4 =16
3 digit no.=4*4*3 =48
4 digit no.=4*4*3*2=96
as we calculated ol 4 digit no. nw
4 digit no. greater than 4300 = 4 3 _ _ (possibility 3*2)=6
nos. less than 4300= 96-6 =90
TOTAL nos = 4+16+48+90= 158

1 digit number =4 (excluding zero)
2 digit number=4*4 (1st digit cant be 0)
3 digit number=4*4*3 (1st digit cant be 0)
4 digit number
first taking till 3999 = _ _ _ _ =3*4*3*3 (first digit cant contain 0 and 4 )
now from 4000-4299=1*3*3*2 (first digit can be 4 only and second can be 0,1,2)
4+16+48+72+18 =158

ans:no.of 1 digit num=5
no.of 2 digit num=20
no . of 3 digit num=100
no. of 4 digit num=450
total=575

No. of 1 digit number=5
No. of 2 digit no.=4x5=20,
No. of 3 digit no.=4x5x5=100,
No. of 4 digit no. less then 4000 =3x5x5x5=375,
no. of 4 digit no. greater then & equal to 4000 and less then 4300=1(only 4 placed)x3(0,1,2)x5x5=75,
Total no. less then 4300=(5+20+100+375+75)=575.

4 digit no with 2 at first place=5(0,1,2,3,4)*5(0,1,2,3,4)*5(0,1,2,3,4)=125

2 digit no = 4 x 4 = 16
3 digit no = 4X4X3 = 48
4 digit no = 4x4x3x2= 96
now for no upto 4300
we cn fill last 2 digits in 3X2 = 6 ways so combining all this
ans = 4+16+48+96-6 = 158

no of 2 digit no = 4*5=20
no of 3 digit no= 4*5*5=100
no of 4 digit no=4*4*5*5=400
total no =525

total 1 digit numbers= 5,
total 2 digits numbers that can be formed= 4(excluding 0 at first place) * 4(since one number is already used)= 16
total 3 digit numbers that can be formed= 4*4*3= 48
total 4 digit numbers less than 4000= 3( excluding 0 and 4)* 4*3*2= 72
numbers greater than 4000 less than 4300= 3( excluding 3 and 4 in hundredth place)*3*2=18
hence total possibilities= 5+16+48+72+18= 159
if we do not consider 0 as natural number here , then the answer would be 158

no of 1 digit no =4(Excluding zero)
no of 2 digit no = 4*5=20
no of 3 digit no= 4*5*5=100
no of 4 digit no=4*4*5*5=400
total no =(4+20+100+125+125+125+25)=524

as digit can be repeated so why you are taking like 4* 4*3
for 2 digit no. at first place 4 digit can be placed so 4
at second place we can place 5 digits so 5
total 2 digit no. should be 4*5= 20

no. of 4 digit num=450
total=575
21 such nos are greater than 4299.
So, required answer is 575-21=554

1 digit no=4 (1,2,3,4)
2 digit no=4*5=20
3 digit no=4*5*5=100
4 digit no=4*4*1*1=16 ( unit digit and tens digit is fixed 0,0 now thousands place can be filled by 4 no( 1,2,3,4) and hundred place is filled by 4 digit(0,1,2,3) 4 will not be included because if we include 4 digit at hundred place then no will bec0me greater than 4300

so total no will be 4+20+100+16=140

i digit nos =5(0,1,2,3,4)
2 digit no=16( _ _) for first we have4 choise (1,2,3,4) and for second we have (0, and the rest three no left from (1,2,3,4))=4*4=16
3 digit we have 4*4*3=48
4 digit we have 4*3*3*2=72 so total no =72+48+16+5=141 ans
