Paul moves 9km in 12-13:30
so, john will cover this distance of 9km at 2:30pm
john and paul will cover equal distance at 4:30pm
john covers 9km in 1hr and paul cover 6km in 1hr
so by this after 1hr i.e at 5:30 john will be 3km ahead of paul
becoz 9-6=3
Ans is 5:30pm

distance covered by paul in 1.5 hours= 6*1.5=9km
relative speed 9-6=3km/hr
total dis coverde by john is 9+3= 12km
so time=12/3=4hrs
17.30 ahead of paul

at 13.30 hr Paul travels 9km
let in x hr john will be 3km ahead
then
9x-(6x+9)=3
x=4
so at 13.30+4=17.30 john will be 3hr ahead from Paul

but john is 3 km ahead of paul
therefore
total distance is 12km
relative speed is 3kmph
=>12/3=4 hrs
i.e 13:30+4=17:30
