11.25min and 9 min pipe can fill it completely in 5 mins
but due to 3rd pipe 3.75 min more req.
5 min=100%, 3.75=75%
hence 3rd pipe empties 75% tank in 5mins, hence 100% in 6.66 mins

SUBHASH TULSYAN The qus is right. there are 3 pipes.The 3rd pipe is waste pipe. The person thought the waste pipe is closed. So he came when he thought bath tub is full.But find 3rd is open and there is wastage of water. then he stop it.

1/9+1/11.25=1/5
&
1/9+1/11.25 -1/x = 1/(5+3.75)
so, x=50/3=11.66

ur Question is wrong bro.......READ these line of ur question:

11.25min and 9 min pipe can fill it completely in 5 mins
but due to 3rd pipe 3.75 min more req.
5 min=100%, 3.75=75%
hence 3rd pipe empties 75% tank in 5mins, hence 100% in 6.66 mins

let x min is required by waste pipe and 5 min is required by the 9 min and 11.25 min pipe to fill completely. But as waste pipe is open so the equation becomes ( 1/9 + 1/11.25 - 1/x) = (1/5 - 1/x).
so in 5 min part of the bathtub filled is 5*(1/5 - 1/x) = (1 - 5/x). therefore part of the bath tub to be filled is 1 - (1 - 5/x) = 5/x.
whole tub is filled in 5 min
therefore 5/x part is filled in 5*(5/x) = 25/x [ using unitary method ]
therefore 25/x=3.75
x=25/3.75= 6.66min

11.25 min=675 sec, 9=540 sec ,3.75=225 sec
A+B-C= 1/675+1/540 -C=1/225
now take LCM of all three =2700
(4+5-12)/2700=3/2700
(1/900)*60=1/15 =0.06*100=6.66

Cold water pipe can fill the tub in 9 min
Hot water pipe can fill the tub in 11.25 min
Therefore, both pipes can together fill the tub in 9×11.259+11.25=5 minutes

=> In 1 min, both pipes can together fill 15 of the tank
=> In 3.75 min, both pipes can together fill 3.755=34 of the tank

Therefore, 34 of the tank is emptied by the waste pipe in 5 min
=> full tank can be emptied by the waste pipe in 5×43=6.66 min
