If A can do a particular work in 8 days. B can do the work in 6 days. By C joining with them, they can finish the work in 3 days.
A's one day work = 1/8
B's one day work = 1/6
C's one day work = 1/3 - 1/8 - 1/6 = 1/24

Their payment will be in ratio of
1/8 : 1/6 : 1/24
or
3:4:1

From total of Rs 540, share of C = 540*1/8 = Rs 67.5

A can do the work in 1 day=1/8;
B can do the work in 1 day=1/6;
so, A+B+C= 1/3;
1/8 + 1/6 + C= 1/3;
C= 1/3 - 1/6 - 1/8;
therefore, C= 1/24 (in one day)
total share is 540/-
C's share = 1/24 * 540
C's share = 22.5/-

A's share = 1/8 * 540 = 67.5/-
B's share = 1/6 * 540 =90/-
