A person has Rs 100/- in his pocket, he can as 25 pencils or 15 books. He kept 15% of the money for traveling expenses and purchased 5 pencils. So how many books he can purchase with the remaining money.

Solution

cost of 15 books is 100 rupee
so cost of 3 books is 20 rupee
and cost of 25 books is 100 rupee
so cost of 1 book is 4 rupee
traveling expenses = 15 % = 15 rupee
cost of 5 pencils = 5*4 = 20 rupee
remaining amount = 100 - 35 = 65 rupee
cost of 9 books is 20*3 = 60 rupee
so total 9 books can be purchased and 5 rupee will remained

ans is 10books with 5rs remaining.
he has 100rs.
he can buy 25 pencils or 15 books
thats a pencil cost is 4 rs.
and book cost is 6.(100/15=6.666 take 6 rs only)
travelling expenses 15%, 100-15=85.
now he has 85 only.
he purchased 5 pencils , one pencil is 4 rs
so 5*4=20.
85-20=65.(now he has).
out of 65 he can purchase 10 books only with remaining of 5rs.
so ans is 10 books and 5 rs remaining

15 books 100 rupees
therefore 3 books is 20 rupees
and cost of 25 books is 100 rupees
therefore 1 book is 4 rupees
traveling expenses = 15 rupees
5 pencils = 5*4 = 20 rupees
remaining 100 - 35 = 65 rupees
cost of 9 books is 20*3 = 60 rupees
so total 9 books can be purchased and balance amount is 5 rupees

total=100rs
25 pencil=100rs
1 pencil=100/25=4
15 books=100
1 book=100/15=6.66==7
out of 100, 15 rs for travel expences and (5*4=20) for pencils
so balance money=65,
we can purchase 9 books for remaining money.(9*7=63)

Initially boy has 100 rps.
15% of money he has is set aside for travelling in the sense 15/100(100)=15 rps for travelling.then he is left with 85 rps.out of 85 rps,he purchased 5 pencils so,
100rps---25 pencils
? ---------5 pencils
cost wil be 20 rps for 5 pencils
now 85-20=65 rps is the remaining money.
with this,he need to buy books as much as pozbl.
100----15 buks
65-------?
ans will be 9 buks,he wil be left with 3 rps.

cost 0f 1 book 100/15
cost of 25 pencil 100/25=4
5 pencil cost 5*4=20
15 % of 100 goes to travelling 15/100*100=15
total remaining amount=100-15-20=65
(cost of one book )*no. of book
