rest of cake is 75.......75/8.3=9
total members=9+1=10

let cake quantity be x
let total no of member including father be n
father took 1/4 part of x;
f=x/4; left 3x/4
father has 3 times as much other so f=3((left cake)/left members);
f=3*(3x/4)*(1/n-1)
x/4=3*(3x/4)*(1/n-1)
n-1=9;
n=10
